Fellowship
Post-Graduate Training in Psychoneuroimmunology
Eligibility
Up to six postdoctoral fellowships are available through the Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology and the National Institute of Mental Health for U.S. citizens and permanent residents and for non-U.S. citizens. Applicants are eligible upon completion of Ph.D., D.O., D.N.Sc., M.D. (and accredited residency program), or comparable degrees.
Duration
The fellowship program is one or two years in length. The possibility of extension beyond one year of training requires an evaluation of the first year’s performance by mentors and members of the PNI Education and Training Committee. Formal evaluations by trainees and preceptors are built into the training program. Re-applicants must submit to the review committee, a reapplication form that includes a progress report.
Stipend Levels
The fellowships are funded at National Institutes of Health stipend levels, based on number of years of postgraduate experience. Included with the fellowship stipend is some support for research, travel, and health insurance.
